Exterior Painting Tailored for Coastal Conditions

Homes in North Kingstown face unique challenges from sun, salt air, and moisture, which can cause peeling paint and mildew buildup. At Smyth Painting Co., we provide thorough cleaning, scraping, sanding, and priming to prepare your home’s exterior for a durable finish that stands up to these elements.

Our careful scheduling takes local weather into account, avoiding painting during high humidity or extreme temperatures. Whether it’s siding, trim, or decks, we focus on quality at every step to extend the life and beauty of your property.

Sun-Resistant Paint Application

We select and apply coatings that better withstand the intense sun exposure common in North Kingstown, reducing fading and cracking over time.

Moisture Management Prep

By addressing mildew and properly sealing surfaces, we help prevent moisture damage that coastal climates often cause.

Comprehensive Exterior Attention

We paint beyond the main walls, including doors, shutters, porches, and decks, ensuring consistent protection and curb appeal.

Considerations for North Kingstown Properties

North Kingstown’s coastal proximity means homes endure salty air, sun glare, and bay moisture that accelerate paint wear. Many properties here feature character-rich older homes in Wickford and family residences requiring careful maintenance. Our approach respects each home’s unique needs, using weather-aware project timing and thorough preparation to counteract peeling paint, mildew, and other coastal factors that impact exterior longevity.

Doug's estimate was right on target, and Jacob and his painting team were meticulous both in their painting and protecting our possessions. Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. A few years ago we bought a hundred year old villa, which needed a major outside restoration involving soft washing, masonry, carpentry, window replacement and painting. We are more than happy to have engaged from July to October this year Smyth Painting and their affiliated companies which did a fantastic and most excellent job to bring the villa back to its original glory ahead of schedule. The project supervision and coordination was phenomenal ! All the people and teams have been super friendly, extremely hard working , easy to work and communicate with. Their attention to details and most excellent and creative craftsmanship tops everything we have experienced nationally and internationally. They are simply the best. Also, their property management division took care of our chimneys, fireplace and septic system in an exceptional way. We cannot thank them enough for all their phenomal dedication and work and highly recommend them to anyone, who needs any restoration done reliably, in time and at a very reasonable price !
Thank you all very much !
